the Connecticut Spring Antiques Show has been POSTPONED.
The Haddam Historical Society is offering sister historical societies and heritage organizations a special admission price to the Connecticut Spring Antiques Show to be held on Saturday and Sunday, March 21 and 22, 2020 at the Hartford Armory.
This year the show is expanding to include exhibits and workshops aimed at owners of antique homes. We believe it is critically important to educate the public on the need to preserve antique homes, which are an essential part of our cultural heritage.
Commitments have been received from the State Historical Preservation Office, Preservation Connecticut, the Connecticut Historical Society and the Wadsworth Museum to exhibit at the show. A select group of restoration specialists will conduct workshops on best practices to maintain and restore old homes.
Haddam Historical Society is offering partners a special two-for-one advance ticket price to promote to historical society and heritage organization members. Tickets are to the general public are $15 at the door.
Antiques & The Arts Weekly described the Spring Show operated by the Haddam Historical Society -- as “One of the most important antiques show in the nation.” More than 40 of the nation’s best antique and art dealers are expected to show an eclectic mix of furniture, folk art, fine art, garden objects and other decorative arts objects.
The quality of the antiques displayed and sold at the show is enough of a draw for anyone interested in early Americana history. With the addition of informative programming aimed at owners of Antique Homes, we believe this is a must-attend event.
